Simple and powerful

I’ve been an occasional user for a couple years now and this app definitely keeps getting better. I mainly use it to visualize and otherwise wrangle with more data than Excel can deal with at a time. The user interface has aged a bit but it is still significantly better than anything comparable out there. Visualizations in the summary view make exploring relationships between variables very simple and enjoyable. Even with my occasional use, I’d say this app has paid itself off in time saved many times over, not to mention the fact that I now positively look forward to making sense of large amounts data instead of dreading working with Excel.

My number one wish would be to see string/column transformations such as split and Regex match/extract. A close second is the ability to actually transpose column values into new columns with the pivot table, similar to what Excel allows. Last, even though stability has improved by leaps and bounds compared to the earlier versions, I still see the occasional crash in this app; support for autosave and document versions would be both convenient and a firewall against these problems.
