It also has greatly simplified QC checks of data files downloaded from multiple sources for me by making binning treatments totally painless By enforcing a consistent workflow approach to data analysis, this software also makes a great teaching tool too for classroom demonstrations and for building other demos "on the fly" during real-time discussions with students

I use excel for most of my data analysis but the data sets have gotten too big for excel and this app processes millions of rows/columns of data with ease. The only thing this application lacks is tutorial videos, you pretty much have to teach yourself how to use it but it’s very user friendly. @Developer -It would be nice if we had the ability to edit column names and move some of the raw data around. I don’t really have a way to edit the giant data files I recieve before importing them into the application.

This is by far the best stats package I have ever used. The developer continues to make it better and better and easier and easier to use. If you have a feature or function request, the developer himself responds to you. Amazing. My fellow Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belts are blown away by how quickly and easily I can hypotheis tests with Wizard and the beauty of its interface. I challenge you to find a better product. I double dog dare you to find a better statisitcal package value.

This app is just what the doctor ordered. It will instantly do all the statistical calculations I need for my dissertation.

This is the best software for statistical analyses that I have even used. Very easy to learn and very powerful.

I am not a statistician but have worked with statistics for most of my working and now retired life. This program is very reasonably priced, handles pretty large data sets, protects the user from making statistical errors and easily permits investigating a large number of alternative relationships. Importing and exporting are effortless including filtering data to reduce results that can be easily worked on in excel or other programs that have memory limitations. I have found that I can not use the program for months and when I start a new project there is virtually no relearning curve. I recomment this program highly.

I initially did not like this app, mainly because it is different from all the statistics programs I used in the past (all on Macs). However, the more I have used it the more I became totally dependent on it in my work. Once you get used to the interface, and spend a very short time learning to navigate its functions, you will appreciate the simplicity, ease of use, and the power of this app. Very gald I stuck with it despite my initial difficulties. Worth every penny, and some more.

Cant export pivot table :( When I press Save in export dialog box the dialog box disappears and nothing happens. Both csv and xls.

this application saved me many hours, perhaps days to analyze the operational numbers in business. i did an xls-download to csv. then i got a report of all incidents. how many incidents from which sid by which severity. more than 2000 incidents have been analysed within a mousehit…

I use R for most of my data cleaning and analysis, but this app is still a great addition to my workflow. Also make sure to check author’s website for a great collection of articles.

Intuitive, easy to learn, great graphics, instant data analysis, continuous support and upgrades. A must-have for a part-time statistician like me (and - I suppose - most of the medical scientists out there). Thanks a lot Evan! And keep on improving Wizard!

This is the stat program I was looking for. Easy, self explanatory, and for the price that is more than right. Now I can easily do it myself. Program works great.

In one word - Wow! If you want to get the best conclusions and predictions from data, Wizard is outstanding. You dont need to do the math, Wizard does all of that for you. This is the very best data analysis software Ive seen. In short, start with a set of data (such as on a spreadsheet), and Wizard will allow you to draw relevant and practial conclusions from that data - better than anything else Ive used. Its a brand new Mac desktop app for doing multivariate statistics. Its very easy to use an iTunes like interface to investigage subsets of data, and then graph the data. One really good value is the charts that use statistics to graph the underlying population given the data set and it shows the statistical uncertainty. This is incredibly useful, and done with only a few clicks. Its incredibly easy to see how two or more variables interact, including graphs, confidence intervals, and much more. Wizard performs statistical tests without the user even needing to do anything to see if the variables are statistically correlated. Very cool!! The sophistication is gold here. Its easy to use Wizard to build a multivariate model as the outcome of a number of explanatory variables. For example, its very easy to use labor data to model the number of years at one job as a function of level of education, gender, skill level, pay, and days absent, as one simple example. Wizard gives p values, numerous charts, and much more. Wizard also has a Predict function that allows the user to make predictions of outcomes based on the dependent variables in the multivariate model that is designed. It even allows simultaneous multiple predictions working from the same model. There is much more, such as doing arithmetic on columns, quantiles, rounding, exporting data or charts, to name a few. It will import many formats (but not .xlsx, that needs to be converted to .xls for Wizard) and export to the most common ones, too. If you want one tool to give you the best results from your data, Wizard is the best app on the Mac App Store for the job.

Easy to use. Very intuitive. The developer provides a full tutorial for first time users. The software provides a lot of the functionality usually only found in $1k products. On the forum, it sounds like a lot of other functionality will be introduced here in the future. My only recommendation is an option to export one report containing all of the statistical analysis rather than having it segmented into two or three different exports. Thats pretty minor though. Overall a great product. Thank you for the software!

Statistics challenge me. But, I need to use statistics for my economic and financial analysis. Finally, a program that makes it easy. Easy to work with. Flexible. And, most importantly, very accurate in predictions. As a piece of software, has never crashed on me. Dont let the price scare you away, if you manage finances and need predictors, get it. Its worth every penny!

Ive been using Wizard for about a week, and it is terrific. It is carefully coded for the Mac, highly intuitive, and works instantaneously even with huge data sets. Its one of the few programs that Ive run across that uses Grand Central--the Macs built-in ability to use both CPU and graphics processor to run computations. If youve ever tried to do simple or advanced statistics calculations in Excel, this is a revelation. Just save your Excel data in native (.xls not the new .xlsx) or tab-delimited (.csv) format and open it up in Wizard. Big data sets import quickly and Wizard provides results instantly that could take an hour or longer to setup in Excel. Using the program (and reading the straighforward user guide) is very good education in fundamental concepts of statistics. From what Ive seen online, the author is an economist, so Wizard is designed to make a lot of applied statistics very easy to use. He made it the way he would want it to work. All of the charts can be fully exported as pdf or png (just right click), and the colors can be edited within Wizard (if you dont like the default palette). If you need import/export to professional stats packages get Wizard Pro (right now theres no upgrade path from Wizard to Pro). The only difference between them is the added import/export formats in Pro. The standard Wizard has all the features that Pro has aside from that. Updates and responsiveness from the developer (via the Wizard google group) have been excellent. Highly recommended for students and professionals who need a quick way to perform a wide range of standard and many advanced tests and models.

The developer is a genius to make statistics and uses of it soooooooo easy for the masses and pros too! This is Excellent Software! Very easy to use. Practical and Useful are Undertatements! Ive spent decades with SPSS and Excel (I started by writing my own stat programs in grad school on a VAX PDP 11/70) and this app truly is a "Wizard". Im working with 3.1-5.0 meg CSV data files (oximetry studies). This apps tutorial took a few minutes (less than five!) to run through and then imported my data files. Analysis and transforms very rapidly (Excel was taking 6-7 minutes to do anything) and intuitively. A great find and a magnificent tool!

Love this application. Saves me ton of time analyzing data in Excel sheets. So clever. Also very polished. Developer really did a nice job designing this app.

Wizard is an incredibly well lthought out, well built piece of software. It has absolutely taken the chore out of doing statistical analysis and truly made stat anaysis FUN to do and easy to learn. Wizard redefines the way software should work!!!
